Medical Terms can be confusing in any language and especially if your first language is not the same language as your local doctor.  This can lead to misunderstanding with a treatable condition being ignored or on the other hand can lead to unnecessary anxiety. When consulting with your doctor, rest assured it is perfectly okay to let them know you do not understand and/or ask for further explanation.
